GWN-EHR: Open Source Electronic Health Record (EHR) Management System. Our vision statement is to create a Complete EHR in compliance with "Meaningful Use" criteria using the latest Microsoft Technologies such as Azure, MEF, PRISM, Unity, HealthVault SDK, etc.

As you can see Microsoft has provided most, if not all, of the tools we'll require to develop this application in a relatively short period of time - our goal is one year (Release 1.0 in January of 2011). Using Agile methodologies there will be modules completed well before then that are compliant with Stage 1 Criteria for meaningful use.

History

• 2010.02.26 - Making progress on Azure libraries and unit test. Layers\DAL\Cloud\GWN.EHR.CloudWebRole has functional proof of concept for create, read, update and delete (CRUD) in table storage. The tests folder under DAL has a GWN.EHR.DAL.Tests project with a new CloudFixture unit test where I am currently focusing blob storage and connectivity from desktop (versus Azure web role).
